DeskZap
Support

Remote support software for help desks and IT providers

£21 per technician a month. Unlimited client machines.

£210 per technician a year, two months free. One seat covers unlimited client organisations and up to 250 managed devices. The way in is a 20-minute pilot.

01 / Who it is for

Who is DeskZap Support for?

Three desks buy this. Each one connects to computers the technician does not own. The seat is the person. The machines belong to staff or to a client.

01
Internal IT

Internal IT supporting staff

You are the IT person for one employer. Staff at home, or a PC on the floor, still need a fix. You connect, and the activity log names you, the machine and the time. The computers are the company's. The seat is yours.

02
MSP

MSPs supporting client sites

You look after more than one organisation. An agreed server takes an unattended host. A director who will not install software reads a one-time code. One technician covers unlimited client organisations, up to 250 managed devices.

03
Break/fix

IT consultancies doing break/fix

The job is a half-day on a machine you may not see again. The client gives a one-time code or a link, you connect, the session is logged, and you leave. Nothing stays installed unless they ask you to keep that computer.

02 / The session

How does a support session run?

Four steps, as a session runs. A one-off stays a one-off. A machine joins the estate only when the owner agrees.

  1. 01

The end user gives a one-time code or link

They install nothing. Quick Support is a 9-digit code, valid for 5 minutes, or the link you send. They create no DeskZap account, and Host is not installed for this visit.

  2. 02

    The technician connects

You join from your DeskZap client and work on their screen. File transfer moves a document either way. Remote print sends one job to a printer on your side. Where the desk has more than one display, the session opens per monitor.

  3. 03

    The session is logged

The activity log records the named technician, the machine and the time. That line goes in the ticket or the monthly report. The live screen is AES-256 end-to-end encrypted, and the relay cannot decrypt it.

  4. 04

The machine joins the estate if you will support it again

With the owner's agreement, install Host once. You then connect unattended, and the person at the machine still needs no DeskZap account. Background commands cover wake, reboot and a script. A one-off ends when the code expires, with nothing left installed.

03 / What you get

What a Support seat gives you

Fourteen capabilities on one seat. The pilot walks through them on a machine you choose.

  • Unattended access

Install Host on a machine you are allowed to keep, and connect when nobody is there to click. The end user needs no DeskZap account.

  • Zero-install Quick Support codes

A 9-digit code or a link, valid for 5 minutes. Nothing is installed, and no account is created at the far end.

  • Remote print

Print from the remote computer to a printer on the technician's side. One job from that session.

  • Per-monitor sessions

Open each display on its own when the desk has more than one screen.

  • File transfer

Move a file between your computer and the machine during the session, in either direction.

  • Background commands

Wake, reboot, or run a script on a managed machine from the workspace.

  • Activity log

Each connection records the named technician, the machine and the time, for the ticket and the client report.

  • Per-technician seats

The price counts named people. A login shared across the desk is not a seat.

  • Self-hosted control plane

A self-hosted control plane of the same class as DeskZap Advanced, on infrastructure you manage.

  • Multi-user management

Add and remove named technicians on the workspace. A second person is a second seat.

  • Session recording with retention

The session is recorded and kept for a retention period you set, so a disputed ticket can be watched back rather than argued about.

  • USB device redirection

A USB device plugged into the technician's machine — a dongle, a scanner, a card reader — is available to the remote computer for the length of the session.

  • Pen and pressure support

Stylus pressure from a pen display carries through to the application on the remote computer, so drawings and annotations keep their weight.

  • Session handover between technicians

A live session passes from one named technician to another without asking the end user for a new code.

04 / Price

What does DeskZap Support cost?

One price. Per technician, monthly or annual. There is a single card on this page.

DeskZap Support
£21

per technician per month

£210 a year, two months free

One technician can support unlimited client organisations and up to 250 managed devices.

Book a 20-minute pilot

The price counts the technician, because that is the cost that grows when the desk gets busier. A client machine is not a licence, so another site does not add a line until the seat reaches 250 managed devices. Reaching your own computers is DeskZap Access, from £5 to £10 per user. See the access plans.

05 / Support and Access

How is Support different from Access?

Access is how a person reaches their own computers. Support is how a technician reaches other people's. The prices, the machines and the way you begin are different.

Access is priced per user. Support is priced per technician.

06 / Questions

What should you check before the pilot?

Each answer stands on its own. Access prices sit on the pricing page. TeamViewer alternative and AnyDesk alternative are the two comparisons if a renewal is what brought you here.

01Can I trial it?Show

Yes. Book a 20-minute pilot, on a machine you choose, with someone from DeskZap. The price is £21 per technician a month, £210 for the year.

02How is this different from DeskZap Access?Show

Access is for reaching your own computers, at £5 to £10 per user. Support is for reaching other people's computers, at £21 per technician, with unlimited client organisations and up to 250 managed devices.

03Do my clients install anything?Show

Not for a one-off. They give a one-time code or link, valid for 5 minutes, and install nothing. A computer you will support again takes Host once, with their agreement, and you then connect unattended.

04Where does client data live?Show

The live screen is AES-256 end-to-end encrypted, and the relay cannot decrypt it. The activity log (technician, machine and time) is held by the control plane. Support includes self-hosting that plane on infrastructure you run.

05Do you charge per client machine?Show

No. The price is per technician. One seat covers unlimited client organisations and up to 250 managed devices. A new client site does not add a machine licence.

06What happens when I add a second technician?Show

They are a second named seat at the same rate: another £21 a month, £210 for the year. Each seat covers unlimited client organisations and up to 250 managed devices. You add them on the workspace rather than sharing a login.

07 / Pilot

Book the 20-minute pilot

Bring one real ticket. A code for a machine that will not take an install, or a host you are allowed to leave in place. Support is £21 per technician a month, £210 for the year, with unlimited client organisations and up to 250 managed devices.
