DeskZap

Solutions — remote access by industry and role

DeskZap is remote access priced per operator, for UK teams that support other people's computers. Accountancy firms, law firms, MSPs and hospitality or retail IT use it to reach the machine the work is already on. This hub routes you to the industry page that matches that job.

02 / The work

Which three jobs show up on these machines?

The screen is elsewhere, the far end may refuse an install, and finance needs a bill that survives a conversation.

01
Attended

Join a machine that will not take an install

They click once and read a code. They will not install an agent or create an account. Quick Support is a 9-digit code, valid for 5 minutes. The person at the machine needs no DeskZap login.

02
One PC

Give a named person the office computer

The partner, the solicitor or the area manager is at home. The work is on one PC. DeskZap opens that computer under their login, and the activity log names them.

03
A fleet

Run many machines on an operator price

You pay for the people who connect. Starter allows 2 managed computers per user and Business allows 10. Advanced has no per-user cap and can self-host the control plane. Business and Advanced add device groups.

03 / Why DeskZap

Where does DeskZap win for these teams?

Each point is available today, at the published price.

  • A published price per operator, in pounds

Starter is £5 a month or £50 a year. Business is £7 or £70. Advanced is £10 or £100. Each figure is per named user, and it can go straight into a proposal.

  • No per-device multiplier

A server and a room of PCs do not multiply the subscription. You pay for the operators.

  • Zero-install Quick Support codes

The end user reads a 9-digit code that lasts 5 minutes. No signup on their side, and no Host install for that call.

  • Remote print

Print from the remote computer to a printer on the operator's side. Remote print is on every plan, including Starter.

  • Per-monitor sessions on Business and Advanced

A dual-screen PC opens per monitor, so the ledger and the mail stay where they were. Starter is the single-screen plan.

  • An activity log, and self-host on Advanced

The workspace records who connected, to which machine, and when. Advanced can run the control plane on infrastructure you operate.

04 / Client data

How do you keep client data accountable?

Whose name was on the session, what was written down, and where that note lives.

Read self-hosted remote desktop and data residency and the features page.

01

Named users, not a shared PIN

Every operator is a named account, which is also how the price is counted. Accounts support TOTP two-factor authentication. Business and Advanced add email invites, roles and device groups.

02

A log of who connected, and when

Session history shows the operator, the device, the time and the policy. Screen contents are AES-256 end-to-end encrypted. The relay cannot decrypt them.

03

UK residency via self-host on Advanced

The cloud control plane is the default. Advanced can place that control plane, and the activity log it holds, on infrastructure the organisation runs.

Session recording with retention, USB redirection and pen support are part of DeskZap Support. The activity log records the named operator, machine and time on every session.

05 / Price

What does an operator cost, in pounds?

Three plans, and no fourth tier. The 7-day trial is Starter features. The workspace stays afterwards, so the choice can wait until a real job has been run.

Yearly figures are the annual total per named user.

06 / Questions

What do buyers ask before they pick a page?

Short answers you can forward. The industry pages repeat them in the language of that desk. Remote desktop software comparison and Remote desktop for UK small business cover the neighbouring questions.

01Which page should we read?Show

Accountancy if the machine holds Sage, Xero or tax software. Legal if it holds Actionstep and the matter file. MSPs and IT if the machines belong to your clients. Hospitality and retail if it is a till or a back-office PC. The three prices on every page are the same.

02Do we pay per machine or per person?Show

Per person. Starter is £5 a month or £50 a year, for 2 managed computers per user. Business is £7 or £70, for 10. Advanced is £10 or £100, with no per-user cap. Extra PCs do not add a licence each. The 7-day trial is Starter features.

03Where does session data live?Show

Screen contents are AES-256 end-to-end encrypted, and the relay cannot decrypt them. The activity log stores the named operator, the machine and the time in the control plane. Advanced can self-host that control plane. Session recording with retention is part of DeskZap Support.

04Can we support someone who will not install anything?Show

Yes. A Quick Support code is 9 digits, valid for 5 minutes, with no end-user account and no install. DeskZap Host is the unattended path, installed once with permission. The person at the machine still needs no DeskZap login.

05What is available now?Show

Everything listed here is live. The activity log, remote print, Quick Support codes, per-monitor sessions on Business and Advanced, and self-host on Advanced. Session recording with retention, USB redirection and pen support are part of DeskZap Support.

06What does the 7-day trial include?Show

Starter features, for 7 days. The workspace stays afterwards, so you can pick a plan, monthly or yearly. Use the week on one Quick Support call, one host and the activity log. Cancel before the trial ends.

07 / Next

What should you do next?

Start the 7-day trial against one real machine, then read the pricing page before you put a number in front of a partner. The comparison guide and the small-business post are the two pieces that sit next to this hub.

Then read Remote desktop software comparison and Remote desktop for UK small business. The four industry pages are linked above.
